Staff at HLCC

Lori became the HLCC director in 2013 after teaching for seven years.  She also has her CDA credential.  Lori and her husband Tim have three children and four grandchildren.  Her hobbies include painting ceramics, puzzles, and reading.

Karen has been teaching at HLCC since 2001. She completed her CDA and earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Ashford University. She and her husband Rob have four children. Karen enjoys reading, gardening, and fostering kittens.

Tricia has been teaching at HLCC since 2013. She and her husband Bob have four children. Tricia has an associate’s degree in x-ray technology from Xavier University, as well as her CDA credential.  Her hobbies include gardening, quilting, and DYI projects.

Michelle started at HLCC in August of 2016. She and her husband George have two children.  Michelle has a bachelor’s in speech communications from California State University.  Her hobbies include scrapbooking, sewing, crocheting and going to car shows with her family.

Amanda came on staff at HLCC in 2017.  She and her husband Travis have two daughters.  She graduated from Ohio University with her bachelor’s in preschool – third grade education and master’s in K-12 intervention. Amanda enjoys reading, music, and camping.

Erin has been with HLCC since 2018.  She holds a master’s degree in social work from OSU, and also her CDA credential.  Erin and her husband Brad have four children.  Her hobbies include singing, playing with the kids, exercising, and vacationing at the beach.

Kathleen began at HLCC in 2018 as a lunch aide and office assistant, and now teaches pre-K.  She and her husband Tim have three children.  Kathleen enjoys baking and cooking, painting and working with her church youth group.

Tabatha joined the HLCC staff in 2019 and has her CDA credential.   She and her husband Thomas have two children and several animals.  Tabatha’s hobbies include going on adventures with her family, trying new recipes, and binge watching a good TV show.

Abby has been teaching at HLCC since 2019.   She has an associate degree in business management as well as her CDA credential.  Abby has two children with her husband Kevin.  She enjoys boating, camping, and going to the beach.

Holly joined HLCC as a teacher in 2021 after more than a decade in home based childcare.  She has a bachelor’s in human ecology from OSU.  Holly and her husband JJ have two boys.  She  enjoys reading, swimming, biking, and going to antique stores.

Brandy joined the staff as bookkeeper in 2014.  She has a bachelor’s in management from OU.  Brandy and her husband Gary have four children.  She enjoys music and super hero movies and works remotely assisting small businesses with administrative tasks.

Gary came on staff in 2019 as a lunch aide after retiring from the USAF.  He helps with building and IT maintenance, too. Gary and his wife have four children.  He enjoys fixing things, computer technology, and watching the Blue Jackets.

Alicia came on staff in 2024 as a lunch aide.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree from OSU in Agriculture.  Alicia and her husband Ryan have two children.  She enjoys gardening, cooking, and trips to Disney World.

Debby began as a teacher aide in October 2016.  She and her husband Bob have five children and 19 grandchildren.  Debby enjoys watching her grandchildren play sports, baking, and playing cards, and she volunteers at the Pataskala Storehouse for Jesus.

Hope Komatz MA, CCC-SLP  – Hope provides speech therapy at HLCC.  She received her master’s degree in speech language pathology from Wayne State University.  A native of Texas, Hope also lived in Austria where she taught English.  She also speaks fluent German.

Joy Holdsworth, LCST, CCC-SLP – Joy provides speech therapy at HLCC.  She studied at Leeds Polytechnic in England.  With her husband, Steve, Joy has two children and one grandchild.  She enjoys soccer, traveling, and reading.
