HLCC Director – Lori began teaching at HLCC in 2006 and became the school’s director in November 2013. She had taught 2 years’ prior when her son Kaleb attended preschool here as well. She married her husband, Tim, in August of 1990, and they have three children: Nichole, Tyler, and Kaleb. Lori became a proud grandmother in August of 2016 to Lilyanne Elizabeth. Lori attended COTC and received a diploma from the International Correspondence School in Child Day Care. She also completed her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in 2009. Her hobbies include painting ceramics and paint-by-numbers, putting puzzles together, reading Christian mysteries, and spending time with family

2-Day All Day and 3-Day All Day Pre-K Program – Karen has been teaching at HLCC since February 2001. She is a graduate of Watkins Memorial High School and attended CTI and Columbus State Community College. She has also completed the Childhood Development Associate (CDA) program, which focuses on early childhood educations. She has been married to her husband Rob since 1986. They have four children and two grandchildren. Karen has a large extended family which includes dogs, cats, a turtle, and a hedgehog. Karen enjoys reading, gardening, antiquing & picking, going to the zoo and movies, and spending time with family and friends.

She has been married to her husband, Rick since September 1997 and they have 3 children; Nate, Ryan, and Samantha along with 2 cats. Laura graduated from Watkins Memorial High School in 1993 and attended The Ohio State University for Early Childhood Education. Laura has completed the Childhood Development Associate (CDA) certification program, which focuses on Early Childhood Education. Laura enjoys watching her children play sports, walking, reading, shopping, music and watching movies.

2-Day Preschool and 3-Day Pre-K Program – Alena began teaching at Hosanna Lutheran Childhood Center in September of 2012. She married her high school sweet heart, Mark in August of 1999. Together they have four children. Makayla, Chiane, Bryna, and Waylon. Alena graduated from Westerville South High School in 1999. Alena enjoys watching and coaching her daughters play softball.

3-Day All Day Pre-K Program – Tricia began at Hosanna Lutheran Childhood Center in August of 2013. She and her husband, Bob were married in May of 1991 and have four children. Noah, Lydia, Aidan, and Jenna along with a cat, bunny and guinea pig. Tricia graduated with an associate degree in science from Xavier University, specializing in X-ray technology. She has volunteered in her children’s classrooms for 13 years and was a Girl Scout troop leader for 7 years. Tricia completed her Child Development Associates (CDA) certification in 2015. Her hobbies include gardening, quilting and DYI projects.

2-Day Preschool Program and 3-Day Pre-K Program – Susan started at HLCC in August of 2014. She has been married to her husband, Todd, since May of 2002. They have two children, Allison and Abigail. Susan graduated from Eastmoor High School and received a B.S. degree in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University. She loves to read, swim and enjoys watching her girls swim competitively. She also loves to do needlepoint and crochet.

3 day All Day Pre-K – Michelle Chernisky started at HLCC in August of 2016. Michelle’s family includes her husband George, since 1999, her daughter Kaitlyn, and her son Matthew. Their extended family includes three Guinea Pigs, Buttercup, Daisy & Brownie. Michelle graduated from Culver City High School and has a B.A. in Speech Communications from California State University, Northridge. Michelle has spent several years volunteering in her children’s classrooms and is a Girl Scout Leader. When she is not supporting her children in their extracurricular activities, Michelle’s hobbies include scrapbooking, sewing, crocheting and going to car shows with her family in her 1960 Studebaker Lark Convertible.

Substitute – Debby Dilallo began helping at HLCC in October 2016. Debby has been married to her husband, Bob since December 2008. They have 5 children and 19 grandchildren. She graduated from American High School. She enjoys spending time with her family and sleep overs with the grandchildren, watching them play sports, baking, playing cards, watching Blue Jackets and Cincinnati Reds. Debby also volunteers at the Pataskala Storehouse for Jesus.

Amanda graduated from Ohio University with her BAED in Preschool – Third grade and her Master’s in Intervention Specialist for K- 12. During her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, gardening, making rag rugs and crocheting.

This is Danielle’s first year in teaching music here at HLCC along with teaching the 2 day Preschool program. She is a graduate of Westerville Central High School in 2009. Danielle is married to her husband Steve, and they have one daughter named Crisli, who is attending HLCC for Preschool this year. In her freetime, Danielle enjoys family game nights, reading, singing and teaching voice lessons, cooking, planning events, painting and golfing.

Two of Brandy’s children attended HLCC, and during that time she served as both secretary and president of the HLCC Board of Trustees. She joined the staff as bookkeeper in 2014. Brandy has her associate’s degree in office management from Zane State College, and is currently pursing a bachelor’s in applied management from Ohio University. Brandy has four children with her husband Gary. She works as a remote secretary and bookkeeper for several small businesses and organizations including Hosanna Lutheran Church.
