Snack & Lunch Requirements

Following are guidelines provided to HLCC by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (our licensing authority).

In packed lunches and snacks, you MUST INCLUDE items as required by these guidelines.  Serving sizes can also be found on the documents below.

  • Snack:  One serving each of TWO different food groups.
  • Lunch:  One serving from each of the FIVE food groups.

Five Food Groups:

  • Fluid Milk
  • Meat or Meat Alternative
  • Fruit
  • Vegetable
  • Bread & Grain
