Snack & Lunch Requirements
Following are guidelines provided to HLCC by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (our licensing authority).
In packed lunches and snacks, you MUST INCLUDE items as required by these guidelines. Serving sizes can also be found on the documents below.
- Snack: One serving each of TWO different food groups.
- Lunch: One serving from each of the FIVE food groups.
Five Food Groups:
- Fluid Milk
- Meat or Meat Alternative
- Fruit
- Vegetable
- Bread & Grain
